The idea originated in 1994 for Jane to record a CD in aid of "Shelter", the National Campaign for Homeless People, a cause close to her heart. Jane asked everyone she knew to buy a CD in advance to cover the costs of the project and maximise the amount raised for "Shelter". The cellist Annie Ashton and pianist Christine Brand joined the project and the end result was the CD "Music For the People" with a selection of pieces to cater for all tastes.
The CD sold out raising £5000 for Shelter and was performed on Brian Kay's Sunday Morning show on BBC Radio 3
Ecuentro
This combines the talents of Jane and Canadian guitarist Steven Peacock, and extends the limited range of recent recordings for flute and classical guitar. David Snell was commissioned by the performers to write a new work. The repetoire represents contemporary works by composers from Europe, Asia and the America's - all of which have an identifiable Spanish influence in their work.
